    Few questions to address here:

I have downloaded a couple of touch blocking apps (Argus and Touch Protector). The touchscreen disabling works, but problem is it also kills the volume button function (which can be set to take pictures or record video).

When touchscreen is disabled in either of those apps, it also forces volume button to adjust volume, instead of following the camera app's instructions.

As the touchscreen has to be disabled when used underwater, how do I then use my hardware button to take pictures underwater?

Also, is there any 3rd party helper app that disables digital zoom permanently in both photo/video mode? I have no need for it at all.
    Thanks!

All you have to do is open camera app, set timer to 5 secs, take it underwater and wait till it shoots the photo. That's it!
