AC Question

I had a Galaxy s3 and a Galaxy s4 and never had this issue. But on this newly acquired Galaxy s7 my cell phone # is at the bottom of every text message I send.

Does this appear also to the recipient? What's the purpose?

What texting app are you using? Does the recipient see your number? It may well be just the way the app displays the text message. For example, I use Hangouts with Project Fi. After the timestamp on my messages I also see "via Project Fi", if I had a normal carrier I imagine that would say something different.

I just use the one installed on the phone. Don't think I use Hangouts? :-(

I forgot to sign in when I posted this questions. I guess this means I won't get email updates?
