Best app to root Xperia Z3 compact (D5803)

[AC Question]

I want to root my new handset so I can remove bloatware etc.
I've tried giefroot and that hasn't worked. I also cannot unlock boot loader (according to configuration info accessed though *#*#7378423#*#*) which seems to limit the apps that I can use.
Any top tips? I'm new to all this, so please be gentle and go easy on the geek speak!
