AC Question
My Nexus 5X constantly reboots into safe mode. When turned on, it cycles through the boot options nonstop, because the volume down button is stuck.
Physically, the volume down button looks OK, at least on the outside.
When in safe mode, the volume down key doesn't work – my guess: the system is ignoring it because of it being constantly pressed.
I've altered the keylayout files and commented out the volume down key. I know I've done this right because I've commented out other keys and they did stop working. But no luck – it keeps booting into safe mode (I think the keylayout files are probably not initialized until the whole systems boots).
Any ideas? I basically have a brick phone right now because of this issue.
