Phone not detecting my Aux cord S7 edge

[AC Question]

whenever i plug in earphones, my phone detects that there is something connected to the headphone jack and everything works properly.

whenever i connect my aux cord, or any aux cord, i have to use an app (sound about) to force my phone to work as if there is something connected to the headphone jack.

plugging any aux cord does nothing to my phone. the sound still comes out from the speaker as if no aux cord is present.

if dont a factory data reset and i currently have the issue still

Hi, I presume the phone isn't compatible with aux cords then - it won't be a software issue so a factory reset won't work. I've never tried it myself so I can't confirm if it works with my phone. Have you tried doing it on another device?
