Keyboard Voice to Text not Working

[AC Question]

I'm trying to audio text but when I push the microphone key on my keyboard it won't allow me to record. When I tap the screen to talk it goes back to off. The microphone key is located on the left side of the bottom row next to the &123/abc key.

What keyboard are you using (Google, Swiftkey, etc.)? In the meantime, try going into system settings > applications > sort by all > (name of the keyboard) > clear cache.
