Why my photos are not automatically uploaded to google drive

SIr, I am using photos app in my andriod samsung, at first my photos are automatically uploaded to google drive from photos app but not i have to select manually each to upload it, why? can't it uploaded automatically, then how? Pls give sugesstion .

Make sure sync is on.
•Open the Google Photos app
•At the top left, tap Menu .
•Select Settings > Back up & sync.
•At the top, switch it on .

They don't upload to Google Drive, technically. They upload to Photos, photos.google.com Are they there?

Also, your Google Photos in the cloud can also be viewed in Google Drive if you open the Google Drive app, go to the Settings, and turn on the switch for Google Photos Auto Add ("Automatically put Google Photos into a folder in 'My Drive'.")
