Just a question here... If you decide to expand the memory by using the SD card as memory in Android v6.0, must the entire card be formatted as memory? Or, can the SD card be partitioned (for example, a 64GB SD card partitioned into (two) 32GB partitions), with one partition used as expanded memory, and the other partition formatted as storage? Thanks in advance for any help.

Using adb you can tell the device how to partition the card for external and internal memory

Pugs has you pointed in the right direction.

Note however that the SD card is storage only. The RAM used to run your apps is a separate system.
