Recover lost DCIM folder from Internal memory??

[AC Question]

internal memory was full. was trying to shift DCIM folder using MOVE TO command(ES explorer App) from internal to external SD card, but used the skip option since external already had another dcim folder and i didnt want to overwrite it.

when i rechecked the internal memory the DCIM folder had disappeared from internal memory because of using "move" instead of "copy"

how do i recover the lost DCIM folder?

You can root the phone (you can't recover deleted items unless the phone is rooted), then install an app like DiskDigger undelete (root). Rooting and installing the app might overwrite some areas in which pictures used to reside, so you might not get all of them back, but that's the best you can do. (This is why you should have all important files backed up off the phone.)

its rooted and that program didnt find anything. any other approach? which all locations should i search?
