Fix text character limit problem

Hello all, I am using galaxy sar pro for the past 2 years few days ago i gave my phone for reparing my display i got it back yesterday and i tried to text my friend but once I hit 160 characters, I am not allowed to input any more text. I have looked at all the messaging settings and can't seem to rectify this. Is anyone else having this problem and its there anything I can do to fix this? I send a lot of longer text messages and it is getting annoying. Please help me pleasePLEASE. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums. To my knowledge, you can't change this. Once a SMS gets to a certain point, it should shift to an MMS. You can try using a different platform, like Hangouts or Skype and use it as an IM.

SMS messages have a size limit.
Some SMS apps will let you create long messages then break them into pieces before sending them.
What SMS app are you using?
