Possible hack

[AC Question]

I received a message through Messenger. The message was not a message I would have received from this particular person. I need to know who I turn this over to. When I submitted the question the direction was not helpful at all.

If the message was from that person's phone number, there's nothing you can do. Either their phone sent it (their phone could be hacked, they could be trying to fool you - nothing you can do on your end) or someone else sent it but spoofed their number (again, nothing you can do on your end).
