How do i transfer my pics, files, music.etc. onto my SD card?

Use a file browser app.
On the SD card create the folders you want to put the files in.
Copy, not move, the files to the SD card.
Verify that the files copied successfully to the SD card.
After you are sure the files did copy, delete the old files from the internal storage.
You might need to restart the phone (1) to flush the data to the SD card so that your computer can see it and (2) to get the indexing service to find the moved media files.
