AC Question

I own a 2016 Ford Fusion with SYNC and recently have been having issues with the whole thing. I stream my music on my iPhone through Apple Music and normally I haven't had any problems getting my phone to connect and music to play through SYNC. Now every time my phone connects to SYNC and I try to play music it disconnects and says "Bluetooth Media Disconnected", yet my music will play out of my phones speakers, (obviously my problem here is that I'm not the one disconnecting it). Any tips or solutions for this?

I had the same issue and so have others This is what worked for me (and others). The credit for this solution does not belong to me. Find the fuse box under the glove compartment. With the car running disconnect the fuse for "SYNC, Multifunction display, Global positioning system module" (which in my case is fuse F67). Once disconnected, turn off the car, let it sit for about a minute, put the fuse back in, and start the car. Bluetooth should still be set up, bluetooth media will stay connected and music from your phone will once again play through SYNC. Cheers!

Hey I have a 2015 expedition and it did the same thing. This is how you fix.
1. Press home on car screen.
2. Press settings button next to that.
3. Press system.
4. Master reset.
After that let the screen load up and pair back to your car

In the future, for anyone with iPhone problems, you usually get more answers on our iPhone site, iMore forums. (Not so here - there are 2 solutions, bexause it wasn't an iPhone problem, it was a ford problem. But normally.)

:)This solution worked perfectly - thanks!
