Screen light suddenly darker after replacement?

hello, this week i dropped my phone and shattered the glass. i got just the glass part replaced though because the touchscreen wasn't affected, however, when it came back the screen was much much darker than before. previous i would keep it on the lowest brightness setting to save battery but now on the lowest it's impossible to see the screen. i have to have it in the middle to be at the equivalent darkness it was before the replacement.

is there a way to fix this? thanks~

Welcome to Android Central! Which device? It's possible that there was more damage than just the glass -- maybe the backlight was affected.
