Why is my blutooth connection for my car now not working

A

AC Question

I recently upgraded to Android 6.0.1 as directed by the messages on my pone and it would no longer connect correctly with my car. I have a message that states that a Connection is made for media but not the phone; the main use of the devise.

I have tried deleting Bluetooth data and cache with no improvement. I have deleted my phone from the car and the car from my phone and also reverted to Factory settings all to no avail. My wife has the same phone "Vodafone Smart Ultra" but is still running Lollipop and that still works. Why would Google android remove an important feature like this? As I mainly use the phone for my car it is now illegal and not fit for purpose. Does Google realise how dangerous this is? Will a fix be forthcoming to go back to Lollipop?
