How do I enter a Bluetooth pin when pairing device?

[AC Question]

I have a Taotronics headset and read the instructions and it says if asked to to enter a pin type 0000 or 8888 but my phone just generates a random longer digit code I can't seem to edit.

I have a screenshot if that helps.

I am using a Moto Z Force Droid on Android 7.0.

Welcome to Android Central! Which devices do you have? I'm guessing you don't have the exact same ones as the OP.
