Ever since I updated to 7.0 there was a setting that has been changed on my phone. Whenever I hit the power button to turn off the screen, all my notifications will not go off until I turn the screen back on again. So in the morning when I first look at my phone, my phone vibrates and makes all the different notification sounds all at once. Does anyone know how to fix that so the notifications happen even if the phone screen is turned off?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are you only relying on wi-fi (instead of mobile data) when you're at home? If so, are you sure "Keep Wi-fi On During Sleep" is set to Always (in the Settings>Wi-fi menu)?
