Earphone problem

[AC Question]

The right earphone on my S6 is not producing any sound (at all, so it couldn't be water damage or sth like that, could it?). Can anyone help?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen with any headphones? Do those headphones work normally on another device?

Any other earphones work just fine, but the ones I have (the default Samsung ones, which come in the package with the phone) don't work on other phones as well. And now that I plugged them in again the right one wasn't making any sound at all, and the left one started to make some weird static sounds. Is it possible that they're just worn out or sth and I should just get new ones?
