AC Question

i am utterly fedup with my phones doing false taps when i am scrolling down news sites, with the web page stalled because of all tge crappy ads, and then the phobe thinking i have tapped on the link when what i really want to do is keep on scrolling.
So I want an addin that after i tap or the stupid browser/ phone thinks I have tapped , specifically asks me if the last supposed tap was a tap / ignore / scroll up / scroll down.
thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! If this is only due to ads, then I would consider avoiding those websites, or using a browser with a built-in ad-blocker, like Adblock Browser.

ad blockers do not work in a lot of cases and I cannot stop using the sites because they are news sites and all of them are the same, the uk independent paper website being the worst.

Thanksand I did try that but the double clicking and the audio feedback drove me mad so I switched it off again, but it is close to what I am looking for because it turned on two finger scrolling which may alleviate the false clicks when I scroll with just the one finger, so how do I turn on scrolling only on two fingers?

Thank you.

I did a little searching and couldn't find another option. If there is one, it might require rooting.

There was an app called TapPath at one point, but it looks like it was acquired by some other startup, so it's no longer available. You could search the web for an apk file, but as always, be careful about apk files, since the sites where you find them typically don't vet files for malware.
