AC Question
Hi all,
I have a Moto G3, a 16GB SandiskUltra microSD mounted as internal storage on my phone. Only about 6GB of the 16GB was used up.
I believe my phone has corrupted my microSD but I'm not sure when or why. I went to take a photo and got an error that storage was full (impossible since it wasn't). I then went to look to delete some photos (just in case), but my gallery was totally empty. Going to the Storage settings to check the SD card, it is listed as corrupted.
I have no idea how this happened - a few days previously I updated the phone system and that morning I updated a couple of apps like Facebook, but nothing major. Could updating some apps that morning have done it?
A while ago (on advice from another forum), I wiped cached partitions in order to make more room on the phone, and now I am worried that this has contributed to the error. I have tried various programmes (DiskDigger, ZAR, disk checker through the command prompt of the PC, and others) but none have recovered anything save-able. I'm on my work PC at the moment (that doesn't have an SD card reader), but I have screenshots of these programmes on my home PC, which I can provide later today.
I was wondering if anyone had any further advice for what to try? I can't afford something like RecoverFab, but I am considering buying software for this (up to a value of about £50 GBP)
Thanks!
