Can i do prepay if phone shut off due to ninpayment of contract? Sim card not readable

Do I replace sim card and start over with prepay cards? Or do I toss out phone and buy straight talk phone?

Welcome to Android Central.

The phone will be blacklisted by the cellular provider making it totally unusable. My suggestion is to pay the bill owing. Thanks.
