    I get text messages, phone calls, and whatsapp messages fine, but i don't get (or they are delayed 1 hr+) from apps like gmail, espn, clash royale, youtube, and other apps.

    All my notifications are on and some are even set to high priority. I have also cleared cache, did a factory reset, changed my phone, and changed my sim card.

    When I got a new phone, I would receive notifications from these apps, but a week later, it goes back how it was, which makes me believe, it's not the phone.

    Also, my apps in Google Play are set to auto-update, and sometimes it backlogs and just stays there. It says all my apps are 100%, but they never update.

    NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON AND IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY! HELP!

    Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Any power-saving modes turned on? Also check the Battery Optimization settings in the Settings>Battery menu, and make sure those apps aren't optimized.

    In Settings>Data Usage​, make sure Restrict Background Data isn't turned on for any of those apps either.

    Battery Optimization Mode: Turned off
    Data Saver: Turned off

    Any other thoughts? Verizon customer service spent hours with me on this and couldn't figure it out. We did a cache wipe, factory reset and even got a new phone. It doesn't give me notifications.

    If it's still under warranty, it's still their problem. Bring it back and ask them to 1. put a stop on the clock - the problem was reported <when they worked on it> and the warranty on that problem should remain in effect until they solve it, ans 2. ask them to elevate the problem.

    (Until that, were you previously on an iPhone? Did you remove your number from iMessage? If not, that can cause all sorts of weird things. Remove it or go to an Apple store and ask them to do it for you.)

    Try reinstalling the firmware using Verizon's Software Repair Assistant.
