AC Question
I have been an avid and adoring Google maps user for nearly a decade now. However, Google recently added a deal breaking "feature" that I am furious about. The auto add stop feature (or whatever it's called there is no documentation on) what it does is on long trips (over half an hour, these account for 3/4 of my drives) Google will randomly without announcing so, add a stop to your trip and redirect you there. This Is perticularly terrible when I'm expected at a job in 10 minutes and I find my self in another town 45 minutes away for no reason. Or after starting a 4 hour drive, I find myself in some random town 2 hours later wich added another hour to my trip. Google maps will add a town, not a specific location, as a stop in my trip and begin redirecting me there. This usually happens on trips more than a few miles with no announcement. I caught it awhile ago when randomly a pop up that look like the redirect for an accident pop up, except Google said nothing and barely gave me 5 seconds to respond before redirecting to some nearby town.
I have a Google pixel 5" with the latest version and this has been a problem for about 2 weeks.
