AC Question

I am looking to get an Android phone for my father-in-law, but he does not want to spend a lot of money on it. He still has a basic flip phone, but he is included in my unlimited plan so I pay the same whether he has a basic phone or a smart phone. I gave him a Samsung tablet years ago (and just replaced it with a newer one for Father's Day) so he is comfortable using Android. He does not want the phone to be "too big" and wants it to have a good battery life.

The cheapest Android smart phones on the device payment plan with my Verizon plan are:

1. HTC Desire 530 - $6/mo
2. Samsung J3 - $7/mo
3. Samsung J7 V - $10/mo
4. LG Stylo 2 V - $10/mo
5 Google Pixel - $15/mo

Which do you recommend I get him?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums. Questions like this are difficult to answer, what would make sense to me could well be totally unusable for someone else. If those are the choices you've decided on, I would look at each phone's capabilities and balance those with how your father in law is going to be using it. If you get something fancy he may just get frustrated and not use it, and you'd be wasting money. If he's happy with the flip phone I'd just let him keep it :)
