Can my phone documents and data be restored after password failure?

My small child entered my password incorrectly several times on my Galaxy S5 while playing with the phone. EVERYTHING in my phone was deleted when I picked up the device! The phone completely restarted and now it glitches so much that I can not use it. I can not use the play store or even the chrome browser. Anything I try to click on will stall for a long time and eventually give me an error message. I am extremely upset. I had a large amount of personal documents stored in this phone.

Therein lies the lesson. I never understand why ppl let kids touch phones! And this is the main reason not to.
In any case, anything not backed up will be gone. You may need to reflash the phone in worst case scenario!
I presume you had the wipe phone after so many wrong attempts.. Maybe not enabling that in future?
