Wrong date

My Samsung Galaxy is model GT-P5110

I have news (yahoo news) and weather accuweather
on front of tablet, but the date for both is July 2017. The time and date on tablet is correct elsewhere, but I can't seem to update the news and weather. Can someone help please

Welcome to Android Central! Are these both widgets that came preinstalled on the tablet? If so, it's possible they're out of date, and no longer being supported by either provider (considering that your tablet is 5 years old). You may want to install the Yahoo Newsroom app and/or the actual Accuweather app, and use the widgets associated with those apps.

Wow I didnt know it was that old. I would prefer Weather Zone and another weather program for my area.

Can you tell me how I get rid of the current ones and how to use the widgets please. Thanks for your help.

Just long press on the ones on your tablet homescreen. They will be 'picked up' and then you can drag them to a trash icon that also shows up.

You can add new widgets by long pressing on an empty part of the homescreen and selecting widgets, then choose the one you want.

Apparently touchwizard has stopped - I can't go any further, or I don't know how to

Touchwizard is related to the TouchWiz launcher. Have you tried rebooting your device?
