Pop up when receiving a call on Galaxy s8

As of this morning (Oct 4) when anyone calls me, a weird secondary app comes up as my caller id for phone calls. The problem is its some kind of ad overlay, because I can't slide the green button or anything to answer, so I'm basically missing all of my calls because I literally can't answer the phone. I have looked into enhanced messenger issues, the apps I have, my google activity. The only thing I can think to do is a factory reset? Has anyone else experienced this?

Welcome to Android Central! Some app you installed (or possibly one that was preinstalled) is doing this. Peel Remote is notorious for sneaky stuff like this, so if that's on your phone, try turning it off. Otherwise, uninstall other apps one by one until the problem goes away. Focus on apps like file managers, "RAM boosters" or battery savers, keyboards, and cameras.
