Hi, I just bought a Galaxy A15 5G. I am learning more how to use Android.

I want to open a second web search page either on firefox or Google Chrome without closing the first one. I've been searching, I can't find answer whether it is possible.

To clarify, on laptop, you can have multiple taps on firefox, you can open a lot of them and you can go to anyone, work on it and go to another tap and do something else. All the open taps are just there.

On the phone, I fail to find a way to do it, if I hit home(top left), my old stuff will be lost.

When I go online, they all think I ask about multiple windows on the screen where they tell me to put the phone in landscape and I can open a second window. That's NOT what I am asking. I want separate page where I can look at one at a time, swipe and look at the second or the third one.

I hope I explain clear enough

Thanks

I would imagine there wouldn't be that much difference between the A15 and any other Samsung device. With Chrome there are tabs just like as on a laptop. To clarify there really isn't any way to open the same app multiple times at the same time. Samsung offers Dual Messenger which allows you to have two Snapchats, two Instagrams and I would imagine two of other apps, like Chrome or Firefox but that involves opening a second desktop or otherwise navigating away from the first instance. Not to muddy the waters by going on and on about what won't work, let's stick to what does.

I'll post screenshots below showing multiple tabs for Chrome. I don't use Firefox but I'm sure it is about the same. In Chrome and with Samsung's Internet (the name of their browser) there is a small number in a box. If you touch this number it will open a view that shows all of your open tabs that you can scroll through. You will also find a (+) symbol that allows you to open new fresh tabs. In the settings of these apps you will find a setting that allows you to customize what page is opened when you open new tabs. See my Screenshots and let us know if you have other questions.

The first 2 are Chrome and the last 2 are Samsung Internet. All of my apps are in dark mode so yours may look slightly different.

Thank you for the reply. Actually I found this after I posted, My problem is I don't know what to ask. I was looking for "pages", if I know they call this "tab", I would have find this faster and not wasting people's time here.

thanks

I'm glad VidJunky was able to help you, and please don't feel like you're wasting anyone's time. There's bound to be someone else who has the same question as you, and if they search for the question online and find this thread, then you will have helped them as well!
