Trying to save apps to sd card

I recently bought an SD card after my internal storage of 32 gb was running low, my problem is I can't seem to get any apps save to the card cause the phone won't let me

Which phone?
Which version of android?
Which carrier?

Not all phones allow this.
Not all versions of android allow this.
Most apps do not allow this, a choice by the developer.

The SD card is best used for your media files (photos, music, videos, documents).
The apps are best left on the internal storage.

For the apps that are using lots of storage space, check their individual settings. Some of the apps (camera, GPS, maps) allow you to pick the SD card as the storage location of the data.
