Forgot backup password for my S7 finger print scan

I am trying to lock my phone. Awhile back I set up the finger print scan and used it for a bit. I recently opted for no lock. Now I want to re lock it, keeps asking for backup password.... I forgot it. What to do

Welcome to Android Central! That's a problem for you, because the phone should still be asking for your backup password periodically, as a security measure. Most notably, it should ask for the backup password when you do a cold boot. You've never had to do that?
