Android Central Question

Cannot connect to router using DHCP. I can create a static ip and it connects, but using DHCP it just stalls or says poor signal.

Been connecting for 4 yrs no problems, just started.

Have rebooted router, tablet, phone, laptop. All connect no problem except the android tablet. This seems to be a common problem, as its all over the internet. Obviously when I set a static ip and connect it is not a poor signal.

Since this problem is all over the internet and common, what is being done to fix it.

Welcome to Android Central! Which device? I'm not sure what you mean by "all over the internet" -- it's not a particularly common issue here.

Log into your router's settings (using your computer browser) and make sure your DHCP range is wide enough to accommodate all of your devices. By default, it's usually 255, but for example, if someone changed it to 10, and you connect more devices than that to the network, then some devices are going to have issues with connection.

I have this problem,I used an Xposed module/app to change my MAC address, Serial Number and IMEI. The module worked but what happened is that module also gave the phone like a general Static IP, or maybe changed the ip range of DHCP, that will play a part in all DHCP connections. How to remove it? How to get DHCP working again?

Righr now the only way I can connect to a wifi network is by setting a static ip for that network only, what a correct ip, gateway, etc.

It's a Zenfone 3 Max.ZC553KL.
