How to install apps from unknown resources

I tried to install a app but it didn't install

Welcome to the forums. Do you get an my specific error? Have you already enabled 'unknown sources' in your security settings?

You should have an .apk file. When you tap that the Install screen should come up. (Unless you have more than one app that can be used for installation, then you'll get a choice - choose the default Android installation app, and tap Always. If it says that your settings are wrong, it will take you to the setting that allows apps to be installed from unknown sources. Tap that to get the check mark, then UNCHECK the check mark on the popup (for only doing it this one time).

Then install the app again.
