Android Central Question

Long time iphone user recently decided to switch to android. I am using a moto g5 plus with android nougat software. I have photo backup enabled with good drive and I have back up my data turned on as well as automatic restore. I am also running the evie launcher and have backup turned on with it as well.

Is there anything else I need to do to make sure that my phone is sufficiently backed up? If I were to break my phone and by a replacement would everything be able to get up and running by logging into my google account and doing a restore? Do I need to download some sort of backup system?

Welcome to Android Central! If you use the Google Backup option in the system settings, that will save settings for your apps, and for some apps it may also save app-related data. But this depends on if the app developer takes advantage of that feature. So there's no guarantee that your game progress will be backed up to Google Drive, for example. If you want a redundant backup option, try Helium.

Also, make sure your contacts are saved to your Google account, not to the local Phone account. You can confirm they're saved to Google by going to contacts.google.com on your computer browser and finding them there as well.
