Android Central Question

Moto G5 Plus, Android 7.0

Outlook app keeps pushing notifications about the same old emails I've already seen/received notifications on. Tried re-syncing account and rebooting phone to no avail.

Having the same issue on my LG G5. Not sure if it is the app or exchange server as the default email app sends notifications on time with my exchange account connected. Seems to be just the MS Outlook for Android app.

It's the latest Outlook app update it seems that's causing trouble. You could temporarily switch to the Gmail app (since it's built in anyway) until Outlook receives the next update to fix it.

Same. So annoying. On 8.1.

Thanks guys.

I looked in recent updates in play store and didn't see Outlook listed there. Anyone know when the last update hit?

I started having this problem a couple days ago. It's still happening today. I'm getting notifications for yesterday's emails. I hope MS fixes it soon, it's really annoying.

You're right about MS being aware - though the link you shared is pretty old. Here's what I got back from raising a shoutout from Outlook app.

So this post is a bit old, but is it me or is this still not fixed?

When I get a new email on one of my accounts if I still have emailed marked unread in other mailboxes I get a new notification as well on that account.

I have 3 accounts running on the app (love it) but this is driving me a little buts.

Especially now that Galaxy S8 sends me all my notifications to me after my DND shuts off. Holy cow my phone is annoying at 8am

The last update in the Play store was June 27, 2018 (yesterday), so it might be fixed. (I don't normally hold out hope for Microsoft "fixing" anything - they normally incorporate the "fix" into the next product.) But try running Play, search outlook, and see if there's an Update button.

Its not the app. It's to do with power saving. Go into power settings on your phone and set outlook as an unmonitored app and not to save power.

It should do the trick straight away
