Samsung J5 Pro - factory re-set is stuck on downloading don't turn off target for ages

I tried the volume up + power + home screen combo which usually works on Androids and since it didn't I tried the volume up ley and it's been stuck on it.
Now I'm unable to do anything and it's a brand new phone, some setting didn't work so went for hard reset as suggested by the service provider. help!

Hold the power button in until it restarts. The "don't turn off" warning only matters if the phone is plugged into your PC and you're downloading something to it.
