Android Central Question

I haven't any storage left on my phone and when you click into storage to see what's taking up the space it says 1 GB of miselanious files, when I click intoit to get did of some of it, it says there is nothing there. A whole GB of storage is fine by miselanious files and I can't find them or get rid of them, how do i find them?

The Misc things are the settings you put into the apps, among other data. If you delete them you'll gave to set the apps up again, and then you'll still have 1GB of Misc storage being used.

That's one reason phones need about 800MB of free storage to operate.

It sounds as if you have an older phone (or a budget phone) with very little storage. Now you know why phones get replaced every couple of years. It's not some sort of plot - apps keep getting larger, we keep wanting more apps on our phones - but the storage doesn't get larger, so we have to replace the phone. Even a 16GB phone is considered small today. (And it's why some phones are coming out with 128GB of internal storage.)
