Pokemon GO runs on Galaxy Tab S3, but is not optimized for screen size. Fixes?

My son has a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 running Nougat (up to date as of 10 Jan 2018). He can download and run Pokemon GO, but the Google Play Store tells him that it is not optimized for his device, and the bottom of the screen appears to be cut off, so I'm guessing this is an aspect ratio problem. Is there any solution for this? Willing to be creative as long as it doesn't break TOS.

The only solution to this is to contact the developer at pokemon-go-support@nianticlabs.com and ask them if they can make a tablet version that will fit the full Tab 3 screen.

I have this same issue with at least one app. I'm dealing with it as it does not negatively impact my enjoyment of said app.
