See/find downloaded images in the gallary

In my previous phone, when I downloaded (or saved) an image from the internet, it stored right into my gallery. From here I could attach the image to to a message or an email easily. I noticed that downloaded images are not appearing in my gallery. Is there a setting where I can have them appear in my gallery?

There's no way to "store in Gallery", Gallery is an app, not a place. It shows all pictures picked up by Media Scan, and, in most phones, Media Scan only runs when you're starting or restarting the phone - or when you run an app like media.Re.Scan. Taking a picture with the camera triggers Media Scan, but copying a file (even if it's a picture file) doesn't. So run media.Re.Scan after copying files and you'll see the new ones. (The same holds true for videos and music.)
