I keep getting the message my storage is near full.

Android Central Question

How do I know what to clear w/out losing my personal info. I'm a pretty basic user (No FB/Instagram) I don't have a lot of pic/videos

You should first go to Settings > Storage. That will show you where most of your data is being taken. Cached data isn't a big deal and can be safely deleted if I remember correctly. If that doesn't help, you may need to get a microSD card or delete some unused apps.

Cached data will be rebuilt if needed, so you can safely delete all of it.

Otherwise, don't delete anything you didn't add, don't uninstall anything you didn't install. If that still doesn't give you enough space (and "moving" apps to an SD card won't free up much, if any, space) you need a phone with more internal storage. (The SD card is for pictures, videos, music, documents, etc.)
