Android Central Question

I have a Nexus 6P. Been using it for two years and three months around so the battery was obviously draining fast and would shut down at around 30%.

I went to get the battery replaced. It took four hours and $80 at ubreakifix store next to my university.

All done by 14:00.

By 17:45 I notice a small purple dot in the bottom left corner of the screen. I thought that it might have been there since repairs and didn't notice it. The battery was working great so I had no reason to go whine about a tiny purple dot in the corner.

It is 20:21 now and 40 to 50% of the screen is now covered in purple, with a slight odour of ink being noticed if you get close enough.

I am going back to the store tomorrow since they offered a 90-day warranty on services provided, but I am curious if anyone knows what the hell happened.

The only problem with the Nexus was the battery due to age. Not a single scratch or dent was ever made and the phone is in top condition.

Any idea?
