Do I remove the sim card when returning my Galaxy S6 to Sprint?

I just purchased the Galaxy S9. I need to return my S6, but I can't find anywhere whether or not I need to remove the SIM card before returning.

Yes. Remove all sim and SD cards and get all data off it. Sign out of all accounts on that device, then factory reset the phone.

And signing out of your Google account means going to the main Settings>Accounts menu, selecting your Google account, then tapping Menu>Remove Account.
