Android Central Question

Whenever my Note 8 gets wet, it immediately reboots and I noticed it can't read my SD card either. I then restart it again, and then it can read my SD card. As well, my phone hadn't had contact with water for hours, then it randomly rebooted and when it came to, it said there was moisture in the port. I didn't see any and again, it had no contact with water for about 12 hours. Is there a safety setting I'm missing or something?

No, but a warm phone brought into a cold place, or a cold phone brought into a warm humid place, causes condensation even in a phone rated IP68. The phone has to be airtight to prevent that.

And enough condensation causes water damage.

I'm having the same issue but mine couldn't read the SD card after restarting, had to remove sim tray then reinsert. Looked up online and seems to be happening to a lot of people after the Oreo update. I contacted Samsung about and they told me to wipe the cache partition, but it didn't fix it. Even checked the LDI in the SIM port for water damage and it's perfectly fine. Still can't find a solution...
