Android Central Question

It is the standard Xperia XA Problem. Device doesn't have any water or physical damage. The screen is snowy, sometimes shows vertical lines and not accurately responsive upon touching. I have already used xperia companion to repair the software issue (if any) but nothing worked.
As my warranty is over and screen replacement would cost me around AU$129 for the device priced at AU$179, I am looking for other options. I am new to android customization and tweeking so asking if it is safe or even possible to root the device?

1. No.

2. Rooting won't be of any help in fixing the problem. The software that you "fixed" doesn't require root access.
