Whats taking that much space from my Moto X 2nd gen internal storage?

[Android Central Question]

The Moto X2 doesn't have a SD card slot and therefore, just depends on its big internal memory space, which is supossely 24,7 GB. However, at connecting with my pc, the files inside of it are just 4,22 GB...And I can be completely sure my apps doesnt take 20 GB, they probably dont even take 10 GB.

So basically title...What could be a solution to this? should I save a back up and factory reset?

Install and run Data Size Explorer and see what is using what.
