unsaved mobile numbers

How do u remove unsaved numbers from phone dial. The numbers are not saved in my contacts. But everytime you put the first 5 digits they appear. Why?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Try opening the Phone app, then Recents, then tap Menu>Call History, then Menu>Clear Call History.
