Android Central Question

There are a lot of Google and samsung apps on my phone I will never use, a few I might want later. They take up a lot of storage space

The only way in which disabling the app will save on storage space is if any updates that have been installed made the app larger. When you go to disable the app any updates will be uninstalled first. Force Stop will do nothing for storage space, but clearing cache and data will...

A force stop will not save on storage space as the app still resides on your phone. Disabling may save minimal amounts of space because I'm pretty sure it'll also uninstall any updates. Since updates generally makes apps larger over time, that space will be freed up but it's unlikely to be noticeable. All disabling an app will do is prevent it from being initialized in the background, allowing your phone to better use that memory for other things.
