Android Central Question

I have just purchased an S9 (T-Mobile) and while it paired nicely to my car's Alpine system it will not store the passcode of 0000, making me type it in every time I start the car. Once connected it performs beautifully. My S4 had this problem until I let it store the phone settings but I don't seem to have this option with the S9. My old Blackberry performed this operation flawlessly but I realize that is comparing apples to oranges.

Welcome to Android Central! The passcode is typically for the initial pairing only, not for reconnecting once paired. Is the phone forgetting this paired device every time? When you leave the car and the phone is out of range, go to the Settings>Bluetooth menu -- is the car still listed as a remembered device?

Solved it! Delete all old phone pairings from the radio and re-pair the new phone and it works! Apparently although Alpine will hold multiple devices it will only effectively handle one phone at a time.
