Screen Turning Off During Call

I can't find a setting to turn this off. I'm using an LG Fiesta 2.

The proximity detector detects your ear being near the phone, so it turns the screen off so you won't "cheek dial" while you're talking (or even "cheek hang up"). The screen should come back once you take the phone away from your ear.

I always have my call on speaker and I have the phones several feet away from me and it will continue to do it. I also see no proximity settings on my phone.
