Kindle Fire HD - Sound mutes when screen is asleep

I want to listen to Pandora on my kindle, but when I turn the screen off it automatically mutes the sound. I tried to just keep the Pandora app open and on the screen but after a few minutes it turns the screen off by itself and it will mute the media. When I turn the screen back on, the song will still be playing, but the media is muted. I looked in the settings and i can't find any option to keep the sound on while the display is off. I've also googled this problem and I can't find an answer. I don't think it's always done this, I'm pretty sure I used to be able to put Pandora on and then close the magnetic case to turn the screen off and it would continue playing. Please help! For the first time in a few weeks I was listening to music on my Fire HD, and the sound kept cutting out. I then realized it was when the screen was turning off. Very annoying, definitely never used to do it!

Did you manage to find a solution?
