Samsung email app does not work for both mobile and wifi connections

On my S7 Samsung email app has no issues going from mobile to wifi. S9+ email app needs to be set up for either mobile or wifi.
 
Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, can you give more details about the issue? What do you mean it has to be set up for either mobile or wi-fi? Do you have any other issues connecting to the web on either mobile or wi-fi, like on your browser, or using other apps like Facebook?
 
I have no other issues concerning internet and using any other apps. I initially set up 3 email accounts, 2 gmail & 1 hotmail. This was on Samsung email app. When I was home on wifi, email was not working. Turned off wifi, email worked. Did web inquiry, people were saying the same thing. I downloaded Eduson email app as suggested, did not have anymore issues. The Edison app is ok, not as nice as Samsung. I set up Samsung email app again last night, was very easy and fast. Did a test using mobile & wifi, both worked this time. When had issue basically said protocol being used was incorrect for wifi. So, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, gmail now is using POP3 & SMTP outgoing. Hotmail is IMAP, did not see outgoing protocol listed. Also with Samsung email, it is allowing multiple select for attachments. There has been some updates since purchasing phone, did not notice if any pertained to this issue. One update allowed choosing individual messaging conversations to be deleted, as opposed to just deleting the whole conversation.
 
Does the wi-fi issue for the Samsung Email app also happen on other wi-fi networks, or only your home network?
